Shri Yantra Puja
Shri Yantra, also called Sri Chakra, belongs to Sri Vidya traditions associated with Lalita Tripurasundari. Robert Beer's commentary on a particular Nepalese painting describes nine principal interlocking triangles around the bindu, or central point: four oriented upward and five downward. Their intersections form forty-three smaller triangles. Lotus circles and a surrounding enclosure extend the composition beyond its central geometry.

In that commentary, the upward and downward triangles are read through Shiva and Shakti. Sringeri’s description of its Sri Chakra publication similarly introduces the diagram through the relationship of these principles and its constituent triangles, lotus forms and bindu. These are religious interpretations in identifiable traditions, rather than evidence for a device that guarantees prosperity.
Looking from the outer enclosure towards the centre gives the eye a route through the image. Looking outward makes its repeated boundaries more apparent. Both observations help distinguish a carefully composed Sri Chakra from a decorative cluster of triangles. A miniature representation may simplify its lines; it should still be identified honestly as an interpretation of a sacred diagram, not promoted as an exact ritual installation.
