Keep the words, place and purpose distinct

A Sikh heritage keepsake may centre on a named Guru, a written expression, an emblem or a remembered visit to a gurdwara. These are different subjects. Begin by naming the one you intend and describing why it matters to the recipient. The family story might be about learning, service, a journey together or a passage first explained by an elder.

Guru Nanak, Guru Gobind Singh, Ik Onkar, the Khanda, Mool Mantar and the Golden Temple appear as separate design directions here. A text-led request needs a different review from a building or portrait. For Gurmukhi, provide the exact wording and ask a competent reader to review the final proof at its actual size. Reducing lettering to ornament can lose the very meaning the gift is intended to respect.

Ask the recipient or community whether the proposed use and handling of the image or words are appropriate. This catalogue does not speak for a gurdwara, religious authority or all Sikh households. Where a keepsake is welcome, a separate note can explain the occasion and the relationship behind it. Keep commercial branding apart from sacred wording, and settle the form and presentation before discussing production.

From a story to a keepsake

Start with the person receiving the gift and the story you want it to hold. A family reference, the exact name of a place or a short account of the occasion gives the enquiry a useful beginning. Include any preferred wording and say which details are essential. The finished artwork and presentation are agreed with you before production.

All curated orders are made to order, with a minimum of 20 pieces per design and weight. Coin preferences are 10g, 15g, 20g, 25g, 50g, 100g. Weight describes the metal quantity; dimensions, relief and finish are separate parts of the specification. An enquiry helps establish feasibility and does not reserve stock or confirm a delivery date.

The presentation can hold the words that do not fit on the object: who gave it, why the motif was chosen and which moment it remembers. We discuss the kit or box as part of the quote, with its price and tax shown separately from the coin. Custom artwork and other additional work is confirmed before you decide to proceed.

Check names, scripts and the proposed depiction with the people who know the intended context. A commercial commission does not establish a temple, religious body, artist or other institution’s approval. Where a different format would suit the recipient better, the enquiry can explore that too.
