Faravahar
The Faravahar, also written Farohar or Fravahar, is widely recognised in Zoroastrian and Iranian heritage. FEZANA's teaching guide explains the winged figure through a modern community interpretation: the three divisions of the wings recall good thoughts, good words and good deeds; the ring held in the hand suggests keeping a promise; the upward gesture recalls Ahura Mazda.
Faravahar: a winged emblem and its interpretations
The same resource discusses the symbol's use in Iranian cultural identity as well as religious life. That breadth matters. A person can relate to the emblem through faith, family or cultural memory, and an individual use should not be forced into just one of those explanations.
A teaching interpretation and an ancient image's original meaning are different questions. A contemporary explanation of each feather or gesture should be attributed to the tradition that teaches it, rather than presented as an inscription left by the original sculptor.
When studying a particular version, compare the wings, ring, human figure and surrounding inscription. The name of the source and the date of the image are more useful than a claim that every version is an exact ancient design. The references offer a way to follow those differences while allowing the emblem to retain the meaning it has for its present-day users.
From a story to a keepsake
Start with the person receiving the gift and the story you want it to hold. A family reference, the exact name of a place or a short account of the occasion gives the enquiry a useful beginning. Include any preferred wording and say which details are essential. The finished artwork and presentation are agreed with you before production.

We discuss the kit or box as part of the quote, with its price and tax shown separately from the coin. Custom artwork and other additional work is confirmed before you decide to proceed.
Check names, scripts and the proposed depiction with the people who know the intended context. A commercial commission does not establish a temple, religious body, artist or other institution’s approval. Where a different format would suit the recipient better, the enquiry can explore that too.
